Iranian short ‘Braceball’ to vie at the US fest

Iran’s short ‘Braceball’ has been selected to vie at the 2020 Bay Area International Children Film Festival (BAICFF) in the US.

Directed by Reihaneh Mortezaeenia, the short narrates the story of a disabled child who loves to play football.

Though the boy is disabled, he does his most to make his dream come true.

‘Braceball’ is a production of the Iranian Youth Cinema Society.

The short has previously won the Best Short Film Theme Childhood award at the 5th Atlantic International Film Festival in Colombia.

The BAICFF aims to present appealing, culturally diverse films and education programs for children and families.

The 11th edition of the BAICFF is slated for February 22-23, 2020.
